History Of Honda
Japan’s leading motorcycle manufacturer and one of the crucial manufacturing leaders of the world, the Honda Motor Company was founded by engineer Honda Soichiro in 1946 and started as the Honda Technical Research Institute. The Honda Technical Research Institute’s main goal was the production of small, capable internal-combustion engines, leading the company to evolve into the Honda Motor Company in 1948. By 1949, Honda had begun to produce motorcycles.
In 1953, Honda rolled out the Honda C-100 motorcycle and by 1959, it was the largest-selling motorcycle across the globe. The same year that the C-100 became a global hit, Honda established its first U.S. subsidiary that they dubbed the “American Honda Motor Company”, but it wouldn’t be until another 20 years before Honda produced their first American motorcycles and in 1982, the company started producing automobiles. The company’s two most popular cars were and still are the lightweight and fuel-efficient Honda Civic and Honda Accord.
Honda has its hands in just about everything that you could think of when it comes to small motors. The company also majors in things like farm machinery to common everyday lawnmowers and with current Honda president Frank Paluch eyeing everything from land, sea, and air, you can expect the Honda Motor Company to become even more innovative in the future. Honda is a company that isn’t afraid to dream big and they’ve already accomplished a lot by turning those dreams into reality.
Honda is trying to save the world.
The company believes that they can help create a future with carbon-free emissions to try and ensure what they believe could be detrimental to the environment. This would mean cleaner air, not only increasing the health of humans, but it would also be highly beneficial to plant life on the planet. It’s one of the main reasons Honda created the revolutionary Honda Smart Charge technology that saves consumers money while actively operating in a manner that is valuable to the environment. Not only is Honda servicing its customers, but it’s also servicing the entirety of the world.
The Honda Motor Company has found a comfortable home in the automotive industry despite started much later than its competitors. With ten distinguished generations of arguably the most dependable line of vehicles, Honda has provided families with cars that will last lifetimes and be passed down throughout generations. It’s not uncommon to still see a variety of the early 90s Honda model vehicles being used for the everyday commute, which is a testament to just how good the product is that Honda has been producing for the last 70 years.
Honda is planning to revolutionize the health of the world while still boasting some of the best in class vehicles that this generation has seen.
