The capable BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S PLUS is an advancement in technology to it’s predecessor which follows the same name. The improved tread compound, and ETEC System developed by BFGoodrich is an upgrade in quality.
This tire was built for the driver that wants a taste of that sporty feel with a gripping summer tire, but also the capability to handle water and winter conditions. The COMP-2 A/S PLUS it’s categorized in the Ultra High Performance All-Season category and does not disappoint.
Many consumers who we will not call ‘old’ but rather ‘mature’, have said driving with these tires on their vehicle makes them feel young again.
Let’s see how this BFGoodrich tire does in each weather environment starting with the easiest.
Dry Pavement And Highway Performance
Traction and more traction is all we can say to start things off. The response on dry paved roads is excellent with this tire. The centering with turns and ability to grip the road while accelerating off of a corner is top notch.
The V-shaped tread design which is almost identical to the previous model of this tire is efficient in accelerating from dead stops. You can hear a little bit of noise from this tire, but that is expected with the aggressive design and slashing grooves.
Comfort feels good and driving on streets quickly reminds you this is not a cheap tire, and that is why you bought it.
Wet Surfaces And Rain Performance
The deep sipes around the outer edge that look like teeth for gripping help evacuate water quickly, and provide excellent planting of tread against the road when turning in less favorable rainy weather.
The occasional deep puddle may throw this tire off for a split second, but it quickly responds as the tread makes contact at all points again on the road.
Turning and stopping feels rewarding with this tire in on any lightly damp surface, and does not pose a problem on heavily watered roads. In fact, we believe this is one of the best performing tires for hard braking on wet surfaces.
Snow And Winter Weather Performance
We would love to provide some feedback and a thorough review of snow performance, and will do so in the upcoming part of the year as winter weather arrives.

Final Thoughts
With a very strong performance in braking, acceleration in both dry and wet conditions, the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S PLUS provides ample traction to feel like this tire offers much more than a typical All-Season tire. The price point on this tire is starts just shy of $125 and is not as expensive as some other high performance tires in it’s category, but is by no means inexpensive. Overall we do feel this tire offers huge value for what you are getting out of it, and we definitely recommend it to any driver that is wanting a seamless ride throughout the spring til fall months.
